Brother Murders Brother in Dharwad Property Dispute

Dharwad, Karnataka: A tragic incident unfolded in Dharwad district’s Talwai village, where a dispute over property between two brothers escalated into a violent clash, resulting in the death of one brother.

Reports state that Ashok Kammar and Fakirappa Kammar, residents of the same village, were involved in a long-standing property dispute concerning land adjacent to their homes. On Tuesday morning, an argument regarding the measurement of the disputed land flared up, quickly turning into a physical altercation.

During the confrontation, Ashok Kammar reportedly sustained severe head injuries, leading to his immediate transfer to KIMS Hospital in Hubballi. Unfortunately, despite medical intervention, Ashok succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. Fakirappa Kammar also sustained injuries during the altercation and is currently undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital in Dharwad.

Sources close to the investigation revealed that the brothers had clashed over the same property in the past but this time, the dispute reached a tragic conclusion. The police are in the process of registering a case.
